If you’re looking for a podcast studio in New Westminster, BC, you probably don’t want to spend half your day figuring out cameras, microphones, lighting, editing, and social media clips.

You want to show up, sit down, have a good conversation, and leave knowing the technical side is handled.

That’s exactly why I built 604 Noah Podcast Studio.

After working professionally in podcasting for about five years around Vancouver, one thing became obvious to me: the best podcast studio isn’t necessarily the biggest room or the most expensive setup.

It’s the place where you actually feel comfortable enough to talk.

Why I Built My Podcast Studio in New Westminster

I originally started the studio because I wanted podcasts to look better.

I was obsessed with the visual side.

Better lighting. Better camera angles. Better sound. Better atmosphere.

But after years of recording people from completely different backgrounds, I realized the room is only part of it.

What really matters is what happens once somebody forgets the cameras are there.

That’s the moment I’m looking for.

At 604 Noah Podcast Studio, I want the session to feel relaxed, warm, and personal.

Not like you walked into a corporate production office.

Not like somebody is watching the clock every five minutes.

Just a place where you can sit down and actually talk.

New Westminster Is a Great Place to Record a Podcast

A lot of people automatically search for a podcast studio in Vancouver, even when they live in Burnaby, New Westminster, Coquitlam, Surrey, or other parts of Metro Vancouver.

But your studio doesn’t need to be downtown Vancouver to produce professional content.

My studio is based in New Westminster, and I regularly work with people coming from Vancouver, Burnaby, and around Metro Vancouver.

For me, the location makes sense.

You get access to a professional podcast setup without needing to pay downtown-level pricing just for the address.

I’d rather put that money into cameras, microphones, lighting, editing, and the final result.

What You Should Look For in a Podcast Studio

If I were booking a podcast studio myself, I would look at five things.

1. The Atmosphere

The room has to feel comfortable.

If your guest feels awkward, the podcast usually feels awkward too.

A podcast is supposed to feel like a real conversation.

That’s why I care so much about creating an environment where people can relax quickly.

2. Professional Audio

Good audio is non-negotiable.

I use Shure SM7B microphones with professional preamps because voices should sound clear, warm, and natural.

The listener shouldn’t be thinking about the microphone.

They should just hear the conversation.

3. Professional Video

For video, I use Blackmagic 6K Pro cameras.

I want enough image quality and flexibility to make the final episode look cinematic instead of feeling like a basic webcam recording.

Video podcasts are also much easier to repurpose for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other social platforms.

4. Editing Should Be Included

Recording is only half the job.

Someone still has to edit the cameras, clean the audio, balance the image, cut the unnecessary parts, and prepare the final episode.

That’s why I think people should always ask:

“Is editing included?”

Because a cheap recording session can become expensive very quickly once post-production gets added later.

5. Turnaround Time

This one matters more than most people realize.

When somebody finishes recording a great episode, they’re excited.

They want to post it.

They want to share it.

They don’t want to wait two weeks.

That’s why my goal at 604 Noah Podcast Studio is a 24-hour turnaround.

When the client leaves, I usually start working on the editing almost immediately.

What Does It Cost?

I keep the pricing simple.

$300 flat.

That includes:

Professional podcast recording.

Professional audio.

Multi-camera video.

Editing.

Social media reels.

Fast turnaround.

I don’t like advertising a low hourly rate and then adding five different charges afterward.

I want the client to know what the session costs before they walk in.

Who Records at 604 Noah Podcast Studio?

One of the things I love most about this business is the variety of people who come through the studio.

I’ve recorded comedians, musicians, filmmakers, chefs, entrepreneurs, creators, and people with stories I never would have expected to hear.

I’ve worked with people like comedian Maria Rivadeneyra, Abdul Ali from Vancouver’s Underground Comedy Club, filmmaker and producer EmgLion, artist Zack Helya, and Rlynex Vibes, who has recorded around 15 songs with me.

I’ve also recorded Kevin Houssais, a French-trained chef whose career has included Michelin-starred kitchens and luxury superyachts.

Every person brings a completely different energy.

And that’s what keeps the job interesting.

Podcast Studio New Westminster vs Vancouver

If you live in Burnaby, New Westminster, Coquitlam, Surrey, or even Vancouver, I wouldn’t choose a studio based only on the city name.

Look at the work.

Look at the equipment.

Look at what’s included.

Look at the editing.

Look at how quickly you get the content.

And most importantly, ask yourself whether you feel comfortable with the person recording you.

Because a $5,000 camera can’t fix a conversation that feels forced.

Why I Think the Human Side Matters Most

After five years doing this, I still love cameras, microphones, lighting, and all the technical stuff.

But none of that is the reason people remember a podcast.

They remember the story.

They remember the funny moment.

The uncomfortable pause.

The honest answer.

The thing somebody said that nobody expected.

My job is to create an environment where those moments can happen, and then make sure the cameras are rolling when they do.
